Paul J. Vaporean joined the tax litigation firm of Kaczmarek & Jojola in 2020 after nearly 30 years of litigation experience in Missouri, Illinois and Arizona. He represented businesses, financial institutions, individuals and municipal clients in litigation matters in state and federal trial and appellate courts.

Mr. Vaporean worked for nearly a quarter century with his beloved mentors and colleagues in a medium size litigation firm in suburban St. Louis, Missouri. He moved to Arizona in 2015 to escape winter and humidity and to start new professional and personal chapters of life. After working in a civil, commercial and civil rights litigation firm in Arizona, Mr. Vaporean joined Kaczmarek & Jojola to pursue his desire to transition to a new and more specialized area of practice.

Mr. Vaporean brings to Kaczmarek & Jojola diverse litigation experience to assist in the advocacy of clients in tax matters in the United States Tax Court, United States Court of Claims, federal district and appellate courts and before the IRS in appeals and other matters.
In nearly three decades of practice, Mr. Vaporean battled a wide spectrum of litigants and opposing counsel, from prestigious national firms with limitless resources to rough and tumble small town attorneys having homefield advantage, in disputes ranging from national gun regulation and tort liability litigation to neighbor versus neighbor in property matters.

Taxes impact every facet of client’s business operations, finances and personal life. Mr. Vaporean’s litigation skills supplement and complement the honed tax controversy experience of Derek W. Kaczmarek and David R. Jojola, offering additional resources to resolve their case and move on to more fruitful and pleasant aspects of life.
