Nicholas Michaud joined Kaczmarek & Jojola in 2021. With nearly a decade of experience as a trial attorney in the public sector, Mr. Michaud utilizes his litigation expertise and his familiarity with government agencies to effectively represent taxpayers before the I.R.S. and the U.S. Tax Court.
Mr. Michaud began his legal career as a trial attorney at the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office in Phoenix, Arizona. As a felony prosecutor, Mr. Michaud handled thousands of cases, with charges ranging from First Degree Murder to large-scale criminal conspiracies. He was entrusted with complex, high-stakes investigations and has prevailed in dozens of trials and hearings. Mr. Michaud is a skilled litigator and draws upon his public-sector experience as an advocate for taxpayers.
Prior to his work as a trial attorney, Mr. Michaud earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Arizona (2008) and Juris Doctor from the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law (2011). Mr. Michaud is an Arizona native and is a proud Arizona Wildcat alumnus.
