Mike Mitchell is an attorney at Kaczmarek & Jojola, a tax litigation firm. Mr. Mitchell represents individuals, businesses, trusts and estates against the Internal Revenue Service (I.R.S.) and state or local taxing authorities, and his practice includes U.S Tax Court litigation, captive insurance defense, audits, and collections.
Prior to joining Kaczmarek & Jojola in March 2021, Mr. Mitchell had a distinguished public service career. After graduating from the United States Military Academy at West Point, he served on active duty as an armor officer in the United States Army. At Arizona State University’s O’Connor College of Law, Mr. Mitchell studied criminal and tax law; was a legal fellow for U.S. Senator John McCain in the United States Senate; and was the Truman Young fellow for prosecution. Following graduation, Mr. Mitchell continued his public service career as an Assistant Attorney General in the Criminal Appeals section of the Arizona Attorney General’s Office before joining the Executive Division of the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office as a Special Assistant County Attorney.
